A 40-minute acoustic sound journey with kora, guitar and organic improvisation: a meeting between Peppi Zen and Namirí, woven from delicate strings, hypnotic melodies and spontaneous musical dialogue.
Ananda is a Sanskrit word often translated as bliss or inner joy. The music can accompany meditation, yoga, rest or creative work, or simply a moment to slow down and listen.
Peppi plays the kora, the 21-string harp of West Africa, and the handpan, and he leads drumming circles and sound journeys. His music grows out of improvisation and deep listening: for meditation, yoga, ceremony, or simply a quiet moment.
At home, Peppi tends Zee Barn, the permaculture project near Ericeira in Portugal that he runs with Melania. His journeys lead again and again to West Africa: to its music, its people and its land.
